The name COUME OUARNEDE means a somber & mystic place in the Pyrenees, where we can find one of the deepest caves in Europe. This is the ritualistic archaïc project of Yan Arexis, percussionist & co-founder member of well know French pagan folk band Stille Volk, founder & drummer of Sus Scrofa (first pagan black band in France, one of the first in Europe and in the world) & founder of La Breiche (Archaïc Pyrenean folk) and also co-founder of ritual act Cober Ord.

«Celui qui vide les arbres» (Those Who the Empty Trees) is a natural archaïc & ritualistic music, a soundscape of high frozen mountains, deep & dark Pyrenean forest. And this is more than just music. COUME OUARNEDE was born like the music from the first years of humanity, when music was sacred, dedicated to establish contact with Mother Nature divinity, in a magical function. Like the music 10 000 years ago the album was recorded with stones, wood and traditional percussions.
